NASD National Association of Securities Dealers

A self-regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the Nasdaq stock market and over-the-counter markets. It also administrates exams for investment professionals, such as the Series 7 exam.

NASDAQ (National Association of securities Dealers Automated Quotations)

An electronic quotation system that provides price quotations to market participants about the more actively traded common stock issues in the OTC market. About 4000 common stock issues are included in the Nasdaq system. Founded in 1971.

NASDAQ index

The index of the OTC market, published by National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and based on its quotations. NASDAQ composite index is based on the measured market price of the emitting banks shares specialized in high technologies. National Futures Association (NFA) – the US futures industry self-regulatory organization established in 1982.

The US futures industry self-regulatory organization established in 1982.

National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC)

A clearing corporation that is owned by NYSE, American Stock Exchange and NASD. It facilitates the clearing of securities transactions and settlement of accounts among brokerage firms, exchanges, and other clearing corporations.

Cash security required by Dealer for the opened positions maintenance.

Nikkei 225 (Nikkey Stock Average)

The main stock index of Japan. Price-weighted average of 225 stocks of the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Nontrading Operation

An operation of depositing to the trading account / withdrawal from the trading account or operation of the credit accommodation / loan repayment.

NYSE (New York Stock Exchange)

The oldest and largest exchange in the United States Founded in 1792 г. It is located on Wall Street in New York City.
